WHO ARE WE?

Since 1985 the 5 directors of First48 (the company that is behind the tours & services on the first48.com website) have completed between them at least 20 London to Kathmandu expeditions - and organised others from the UK operations office. Between us we have also cycled long distances, skippered yachts, ridden motorbikes accross Africa and Enfields in India. This does not include our extensive "backpacking" travel in South East Asia, Australia, USA etc.

WHY?

The answer is simple - we enjoy overlanding - and helping others organise their expeditions. We make no money at all from this aspect of our website - infact we link to all our competitors in the commercial overland expedition industry - but we feel that by putting some of our time and web knowledge towards this project that others will benefit.
