UK to Cape Town, starting in 2009

We are Phillip & Trisha intending to go overland to Cape Town starting 2009ish. The plan is to go independently but linking up with like minded folks is a pleasent option. Our route is through Europe ferry to Egypt then down the east side taking our time and fitting in as much sight seeing as possible.
We have the truck, a Toyota Landcruiser and just starting to get it fitted out so that it will look after us for many months.
If any one out there fancies linking up for information or the trip...

India Overland, April 2008

We've recently bought an MAN 4x4 German ex military truck to drive to India. Through Turkey, Iran and Pakistan and finally to India. We're planning to leave Hamburg in early April 2008 and would like to hear from people planning a similar route.
We're travelling with our 3 year old son, so to hear from anyone travelling with their kids during this period would be brilliant!

Interested in travelling off the beaten track?

My wife and I are planning to ship a VW Baja Bug to Europe and would like to learn more about joining an independent overland group traveling to somewhere interesting and off the beaten track.
I am in the process of building two first class Baja Bugs which will essentially be new when completed. I have extensive off-road and touring experience in North America, but I would like to broaden my horizons. At the very least, I would like to be in contact with people who are like minded and would like to share either their actual experiences, or ideas.
I am a conscientious correspondent and will reply to any emails.

Contact Chris Newton: fdesigns@infionline.net for more details.
